Steve

Hello Everybody,

Welcome to Chinese Music Blog! I’m Steve. I am a 23 years old guy, born and raised in Penang. Living in a mandarin-speaking family, I get to know about chinese music since very early in his age. But, I got serious since Form 2 and has been passion about music ever since.

The first album I liked (madly) is Emil Chow’s. I forgot the album’s name but it features several of his classic like Flower Heart (Hua Xing) and Let Me Happy Let Me Sad (Rang Wo Huan Xi Rang Wo Yiu). And, at that time, I liked Micheal & Victor too. Well, their biggest hit that time was “Palm” (Zhang Xin) but I prefer their 2nd album, especially “Know and Hug each other” (Xiang Zhi Xiang Yong).

Along the way, I did not miss out the Jacky Cheong’s Classics such as “Kiss me goodbye” (Wen Bie), “I could not forget you” (Wang Ji Ni Wo Zhuo Bu Dao) and a lot more. For female artists, Tarcy Su’s Lemon Tree was a big hit that time. And I listened to Valen Hsu’s “Sea of Tears (Lei Hai), Zhang Hui Mei’s “Release” (Jie Tuo) and Rene Liu’s “Very very love you” (Hen Ai Hen Ai Ni). You get to listened to those songs nearly everywhere at that time.

Until just few years ago, the old generations started to fade out and a group of musical-talented new faces start coming in. Jay Chou, Jolin, Twins, S.H.E, Sun Yan Zi, and a lot more. They started a new waves and revolutionized the chinese music industry, mainly in Black R&B’s genre.

I love all sort of chinese music, regardless of old or new. And here is the place we will share with you, one by one. Enjoy!
