The Posture Of Flower (Hua De Zi Tai)
For a rock album to impress me, it must be an exceptional album, since I, do NOT like rock. But this album, a collection of live performances, did just that. Chen Qi Zhen’s light, vanilla-scented voice leaves a sweet fragrance in my heart that I rarely experience - and she does it in every song. I feel like I’m in love again as I listen to this album. Soothing yet touching, it seems like every note is supposed to reach down and rest your heart.
When I listen closely, the melancholy beauty of every note sends chills through my body; every note creates a blossoming sweetness in my heart. The minimalist effect created by the use of basically only three instruments - piano, acoustic guitar, and drums - in their ultimate simplicity reflects itself here. It is what makes these songs and Chen Qi Zhen so unique, so beautiful. Master production of these live recordings by Bernie Grundman (a Grammy winning engineer) makes every beautiful song pristine and crystal-clear - every song sounds like it has been recorded in a studio.
Every C-Pop fan needs to have this album. It would be a tragedy if you didn’t get it. It is plainly the best release this year, and probably better than any other album released in 2006 as well. Whether you’re a Chen Qi Zhen fan or not, a rock fan or not, you MUST get this album. It is a precious ruby you will cherish fifty years later.
Listen to it, in your room, with no distractions, and just delight yourself in the music. This collection is better than her other studio-recorded albums, which become too complex and lose the simple elegance and chilling beauty that this album gives us. A 10/10 - one of the best C-Pop albums ever.

I love her too! Yeap She’s talented and sweet! To me, I think live is different from studio, so even though I had her previous albums, I still got this. Her live singing’s wonderful! So I think it’s worth it, although nothing can match being there personally.. =(

Maybe the reason you enjoyed this album is because it’s not a pure rock album? Cheer Chen is hardly rock, considering the set of vocals that she has. At best, her songs contain the rock element, but they are still pop.
