F.I.R: Unlimited (Wu Xian)

F.I.R second album in 2005 continues the story of three kids who dream to fly. The album title, Unlimited, demonstrated on the unlimited possibilities of their dream, of themselves and their music.

The song, Unlimited is the first track. It starts with usual heavy metal introduction, middlepart distorted electric guitar manipulation is superb and the vocal introduction of their band (in case we forgot ;) ) “Music and Eternity, We are. F.I.R”. Track No.6, “Letting the Love Go” builds up on a familiar song from the first album “Our Love”. This song is the central of the album, and my favourite song among all. The following songs, Thousands of Years ,Punctures of the Bird and Promise Place are simply incredible, saddening and you feel the sense of connection (from the sadness) of these songs. “Love*3″, is a Jazz-like, fast-tempo song, is the only song I dislike in this album. That is just not their style.

A combination of heavy metal and electronica backing up are the trademark of F.I.R. And, this album has gotten better. The whole album is carefully planned, composed and recorded. The appropriate phrase for mem to describe F.I.R’s “Unlimited” album are, Beautiful and Inspirational.

I do not like Sequel, but this one actually compliments their first album without losing their best style. Thumbs Up!
