Have you guys heard of this singer from Guangzhou, China?
What do you think of him?
Here is a clip of his live performance in a music award show. I think it's great.

i like hins cheung. what is his new album called?

I heard that it might be called "Feels Like Coming Home". It's not confirmed yet.
There's been news about his new album for a few months and it's not out yet till today. I really can't wait for it.

i like "my way" and 声音 from hins..
i like the lyric...
how many album he has published anyway ?
i thought he's from hongkong, cause there's cantonese version of my way...

jess, first time i saw him was from your sig. i thought he's just another pretty face with a decent voice from malaysia or singapore. yea the cantonese song did surprise me lol.
and even though the quality really sucked for me when i played the clip (a lot of distortion), his high note, the one when he stretched his vocal, really wowed me. i'm impressed with his vocals.

Yeezett: He's from Mainland China, but he released his albums in Hong Kong, and now he's in HK most of the time. As the main dialect in Guangzhou is Cantonese, he doesn't have any language problem.
I think there're 3 albums so far. The first album is rather unknown, something like a self-produced album. Then there are "My Way" and "Am/pm".
Delrondu: And he is good-looking.
Well that depends on individual too. There're ppl who don't like his look.
Yeah the quality really sucks.
I can send you the original version though. There're Mandarin, Cantonese and English version for that song. I prefer the Mandarin version.

I never heard the english version..
would u send me the english version jessy ??
and, about the good looking, i agree with jessy, that's depends.
at first i saw him on tivi, "he's quite good looking.. "
and, i saw him again, "he's too skinny.... not that good looking" xD
sorry jessy.. =p
anyway, i like his song..
dont care bout the good looking...

I'll give his songs a shot one of these days. As for appearance wise, he reminds me of my Hmong friend, Tong. At least by looking at his pic on your sig, Jessy.

This is a review of his previous album, or maybe you've noticed that.

Hins Cheung is one of my fave chinese singers. Have you guys ever heard of his song called "Passing Rain". Tell me if you guys have, if not I can give you guys the link to the music video.

At first I thought he was really good looking... but he looks different in every photo and now I don't think he's that attractive, esp. now that I found out my bf beat the crap out of him in highschool a few years ago XD
He does have a nice voice and is talented on the piano though, I'll credit him for that

Yes, I've heard that song and I can't wait for his coming album.
I prefer his previous ballads though. That song don't really showcase his vocal talent.
And yes, can you give me the link of the music video please?

Thank you, yagami87!
Btw, Hins's album was released on 23 March in HK and Guangzhou.
I'm still waiting for it to release in Malaysia.
We always get the albums late.

I'm listening to his new album and it's alright. Nothing special. His first album got everyone excited, not because it was amazing, but because it showed that he had massive potential. The "lonely park" EP showed everyone he can add variation to the same formula. The third album pretty much annoucned that he was going to try really hard to fit in. This album... mixed feelings. The songs are not bad, and they sound fairly polished i.e. they actually spent time on it, but I can't bring myself to say it's a good album. It does have a little bit of early 90's HK feel to some of the songs though; maybe it's just me.

I've listened to two songs (Guo Yun Yu and Hurt So Bad) from the album. I must say that I prefer his previous ballads. These songs don't really showcase his vocal.
But he's said that he's going to change his style in this album, so I can guess which way he's heading to, something simple and more commercialized.

actually, upon further listening (the minor enjoyment fell off really badly after the first ten minutes of putting it on random), I realized that if you made the production worse, changed his voice to a whiny one with heavy breathing (Joey Yung, Kenny Kwan), and made it Cantonese it would sound like the other shittacular HK k-song albums coming out =X

Hmm... I've always been impressed by Hins' earlier works but this latest album is a bit of a letdown. I guess it doesn't help that it was released the day before Justin's (which could've lead to my slight bias) but the thing is, it's not what I'm used to from Hins.
Hurt So Bad is fine... and the first track.
In comparison to Blessings, Duan Dian, My Way, Dear U... this album just doesn't quite hit the mark.
I don't know if it's just me...

Daybee, I haven't got the album so I can't comment on it yet.
I'll sure be writing a review on this album.

Offline
i have to agree with daybee . . . the last few songs on the new cd aren't impressive at all. the overall compilation of his past albums are much stronger
