Well, the name's Tania and I've been exposed to C-Pop from when I went on holiday to China in '03. I didn't really try sing much in mando until like '05 when my mando started improving a bit.
This forum has been really good from exposing me to various talented artists and also romanising lyrics so I can sing along!
I want to join the Singing Competition because I joined last time and it was really fun [even thought I sucked xP]. My mixing has improved and hopefully my singing too. O-O"  Ok, I decided to submit Xu Jie Er's Mei You Ni De Mei Yi Tian. It's the chinese version of the korean song Because I'm a Girl by Kiss.
Well, good luck to everyone and can't wait to hear everyones singing. ^^

hey, im jeff. this is my second time in the singing comp! didnt go too well last time but it was fun so im joining again lol. hmm...well ive been singing for about a year and a half now. i also write my own songs and hope that 1 day i can b a famous singer/songwriter like jay or leehom. im thinking of singing a song by jay or leehom too.

My name is Jamie, just an ordinary 16-year-old girl who loves singing! I was born/raised in Taiwan so naturally I have had a lot of exposure to C-pop, though now I'm more interested in J-Pop and K-Pop nowadays. This is my first time participating in this competition, but in the past I have competed in other forums. (Soompi Idol) However, the main purpose of me joining these competitions is to gain critiques from others who are also passionate about music, and to HAVE FUN =] My other activities related to music is recording covers and putting them on youtube. Basically you can call me a crazy fan girl of JJ Lin.. god I LOVE him.. he's a genius at singing AND composing. If you haven't heard him you've GOT to listen to him. I already made most of my friends fall in love with him My other influences are A-Mei, Leehom Wong, and CoCo Lee.

I'm thinking of entering Bay Pan (spelling?) 背叛 by Cao Ge (Gary Cao). I heard this song from a Taiwanese show (星光大道) and I was really inspired by the two guys that sang them. Definitely a hard song to approach though, I just hope I don't ruin it.

Edit: I might choose JJ Lin's West Side instead.

P.S. My mic makes this annoying buzzing noise and I suck at mixing. Please bare with me .__.

I will sing Jay Chow's  "Hui dao guo qu"  or JJ 's  "DOU JIANG YOU TIAO"
i think this kind of song is better for me to express the feeling and my voice..
i join this competition is to challenge my confidence and share my voice with you all..
to take more experience ...

So i'm Herbert, but u guys can call me herbie...herbs...whatever!! ^-^ im 16 in Jersey and i grew up loving C-Pop and now it evolved to include K-Pop and J-Pop. This will be my first competition and i am so excited!! as for the song im going to sing i dont know...maybe old school like Lao Shu Ai Da Mi...or something else haha. Im also a big fan of Jolin Tsai and JJ Lin haha ^-^ GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

i sing for fun, and i like singing, but i'm not good tho, hehe, just curious in how far it'll take me in this competition =P
i've decided that i will give leehom's "Forever Love" a try..and i'll leave it to the judges =P oh yea, i also have no singing experience, i started singing to these karaoke songs just this year..so hope ya'll get ur earplugs ready

Hi, I'm Diana and this is actually my first time entering in a singing competition. I joined this forum not long ago, but i knew of it for a while and used it often to look for song lyrics.  I am singing E Zuo Ju, or practical joke by wang lan yin, and some of you may know it is from ISWAK . I always thought this song sounded nice and i loved the lyrics, along with the drama! So i thought i wud sing it XD. I wanted to join this singing competition because, I wanted to see what other people thought of me and my singing voice. I do not sing publicly actually, never had the guts to do that XD. But i love to sing, and i practice a lot just for my own pleasure. Who knows, this might help me improve in my singing and try harder next time if I don't do that well this time! =PP

Hello everyone. My name is Buddy and I am from Malaysia, but am currently based in Melbourne, Australia. I've been listenign to C-Pop for like ages although I am english educated. Hence, for most part of mando or canto songs, I basically have to memorise the hanyu pinyin. And yes of coz I love singing. In fact I just finished performing a musical play in University of Melbourne under the Chinese Music Group. Got to know about this website since last year when I was looking for translations of some lyrics. I listen to not only C-Pop but also J-Pop, English and Malay songs. Among my favs- David Tao, Lee Hom, Ken Hirai, Brian McKnight, Corrine Bailey Rae, Alicia Keys, and Cao Ge. Anyway, this is my first time participating in this competition. I've submitted David Tao's 流沙 (Liu Sha). Hope guys will like it. Good luck to all other contestants.

I've been with this blog since around the time it started. This will be my second time joining this comp (first time was during the first one and ever since then i've just been a mean critic, guess that's about to change).

I love singing though I'm honestly not good at it. I didn't make anyone cringe when i submitted Kai Bu Liao Ko during the first comp and some even thought I sounded like Jay (i really dont think so), so I guess I won't be torturing anyone by joining again. I wont win by let's see how far i'll go.

I'll be singing Soda Green's Bei Zhe Ni and again will be playing the guitar. My guitar skill is honestly worse than my singing but I enjoy doing it this way, though it's really hard to concentrate on the singing when playing at the same time. But I've managed to finish it today so here goes nothing.

Oh and why I chose this song? I finally just managed to get Soda Green's album and this is my favourite song from it. Nice melody, nice lyrics. My kind of song. though i dont quite get what the whole song is about... kind of silly of me really. anyone care to explain?

OMG!!! so excited that i'm participating here online! This is my first time ever singing to people! >.< I'm 17yrs old and i love singing but i have nobody to sing too so this place is really great! I was like asking my parents that i wanna go for singing lessons but they didn't agree coz they say it's useless and it wun bring me anywhere. sad  This gives me an opportunity to let ppl hear my voice.  I will be singing "Hao Ting" by 许茹芸 Xu Ru Yun Valen Hsu. It is a really meaningful song and the tune is nice! ^_^  Hope you peeps will find it nice smile and 1 thing is that, my chinese is not good. I dun read chinese but speak >.< heh! han yu pinying is all i'm good at. haha

Can't wait for it to start as i wanna hear other participants too.
