Jay Chou wins 3 consecutives World Music Award

Jay Chou wins the ‘Best Selling Artist in China’ at the 2008 World Music Awards yesterday with his 8th album “On The Run” (Wo Hen Mang). With this win (along with winning in 2004, 2006 and 2007), Jay Chou broke the previous record held by Jackie Cheung (2 consecutives win in 1995 and 1996).

The World Music Awards is an annual event held in Monte Carlo that awards the top selling music artists around the World, with the recognition of IFPI. The past chinese artists that won the award include Jackie Cheung (95/96), Nicholas Tse (2002), Elva Hsiao (2001) and more.
