Eileen: Try to request in the forum.

Bry: Wow, they are writing songs? It's nice to see them improving themselves. Good try!

Twins is another of my favourite singers! Throughout the years, I can see that their singing and live have improved. By the way, Twins 2nd Mando album will be out soon! I just can't wait! They will also release a Canto album in the summer holidays. This time, both Gil and Sa will write a song each. This is just so cool!

Twins -
Twins - Kindergarten

I still remember that day, when I first attended school
Before that, mum and dad were by my side every single minute
Finally I have to be alone everywhere I go
I should let go my hands, yet I dare not to / I cried while looking behind

Then today, I left school and walked out of the world I used to live
Having grown up, I have used to be unprotected
Yet I'm so immature / Whenever there are obstacles,
I wish to go back to mum and dad's fortress and escape from the troubles

Do not leave / When the grand bell rings, don’t let go your hands
As a grown up, one can’t have adults to do as you please
Do not leave / One is toughly trained in the society
I know there are ups and downs in the days ahead
But the love, the unconditional love that I get now is not enough

Be careful in everything, that’s boring / Please don’t force me to be an adult
Yet time is so cruel, hurrying for class, hurrying to be independent
Thousand tones of responsibility are like school rules
The bell is ringing, it’s time for class / Why are my hands shivering?

REPEAT＊

The standard rate for Chinese singers is an album a year. Now a lot of them release one Mandarin album and one Cantonese album each year to satisfy different markets.

Just check on a website. Twins released two Cantonese albums and one Mandarin album in 2005. In 2004, they released two Cantonese albums, one compilation and one concert album.

It's true that most record companies want to release albums for their most popular artistes as fast as possible to maximize profit. For them, the singers are just earning tools. I think slowing down will benefit them in a longer term. Unfortunately, it's not up to the singers to decide.

"Only one thing, 3 albums every year is way too fast! Maybe slowing down their pace will lead them to a further way."
LOL. When I first started listening to Chinese music, I was surprised to learn that popular artists typically released albums once a year. Before that time, I grew accustomed to the rate of American album releases, which is about one album released per artist every two to three years. Three albums a year by Twins is just plain crazy =P And umm slowing down will only hurt them (in the minds of those who have invested money in them, at least), because one of their biggest goals is to make as much money as quickly as possible, it seems =P

Nice review =) I wasn't planning to ever listen to this album, but your saying that "this is perhaps their best album so far" kind of persuaded me a bit. I'll borrow this album from my housemate soon - she's a Twins fan and purchased quite a few of their albums... hehe. Of course, even as a fan, she also agrees that they're not the most talented singers =P
