Walkin’ to New York (Zou Lu Qu Niu Yue)
This is definitely a surprise from Tao zi陶子, Tao Jing Ying陶晶莹. I could never imagine that Tao Zi could sing like this. She is no doubt an excellent VJ and entertainment news reporter, this time she lets everyone knows that she can sing well too. This album had made me change my impression on her. The first hit, “Walkin’ to New York ”走路去纽约has a mild feel of sadness. By using her voice which is a little raucous, she succeeded in bringing out the whole song nicely. You could quietly enjoy her unique voice in this song.
“Waterly ” 水湾湾 has a very relaxed and cute tone. Tao Zi’s voice sound’s very ‘baby’ and cute in this song. The background voice is also done by her. “Leaves withered ”叶枯过 is written by a Malaysian new artist, Lin Yu Zhong林宇中who will release his album very soon. It has a very melancholic melody and the tempo is quite slow. The prelude is very nice combining a couple of musical instrument. Credit should be given to the compiler. This could be said to be a perfect song for Tao Zi.
“Woman’s feeling ”女人心事 is my favorite song in this album. Tao Zi sang out her feeling towards love and relationship.This is a recommended song especially if you just recently face a setback in a relationship.
Besides that, Tao Zi tried out other types of music in this album. Some fast tempo song like “shopping queen ”and “peach ”桃子. “Jealous ”嫉妒and “mac & jac” also let us see the other side of Tao Zi.
From this album we can see that Tao Zi has improved in her vocal. She also gave us a very different Tao Zi. Overall, this is a higher than average album. Unlike some other artists that continue their style of music once their music is accepted by the market. Tao Zi tried out something very different from her previous music and her courage should be appreciated.

Tao Zi a.k.a Tao Jing Ying a.k.a Momoko a.k.a Mathilda.. hehehehe… She’s a brilliant Taiwanese entertainer ( singer, vj, host etc) I like everything about Tao Zi.
